Background Information

• Little League consists of almost 180,000 teams worldwide, with 2.7 millions boys and girls and more than 1 million volunteers.
• It is estimated that 60-70 percent of all Major Leaguers playing today also played Little League at some point.
• President George W. Bush, sportscaster Dick Vitale and actor Kevin Costner all grew up playing Little League.
