Located in Springtown Township, Knecht's Covered Bridge is on Knecht Bridge Road, which is a right or left turn off Slifer Valley Road, depending on how you approach. Built in 1873, this bridge is also known as "Slifer's Bridge."Â  Built of Hemlock, it crosses Durham Creek. German settlers from the early 1700's established homesteads in this fertile valley. 11 ft 6 in; Width: 15 ft; Weight Limit:  3 tons; Length: 110 ft.
