There is no better place to get in the Christmas spirit than Pennypacker Mills’ Victorian Christmas Open House! Delight in the sights and sounds of a bell choir performing on the mansion porch, families can visit with our Victorian Santa Claus to share Christmas wishes & a photo, and our living historians who will bring the mansion to life for the holidays! Enter our kitchen to see a Clear Toy Candy demonstration. Every child wished for a piece of this sweet treat in his/her stocking at Christmas! All ages welcome! The Museum Shop is stocked with beautiful, vintage inspired decorations, children’s toys and books, ornaments (hand-blown glass, glass icicles, Dresden’s), Clear Toy Candy, Wilbur Bud chocolates, and much more! If you cannot attend the Open House…The mansion is also open for guided holiday tours: Friday, November 21 thru Sunday, January 7, 2019. Hours: Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm; Sunday: 1 to 4 pm. Closed Mondays, Christmas Eve & Day and New Year’s Eve & Day. Pennypacker Mills is the home of Pennsylvania Governor Samuel W. Pennypacker (1903-1907) and his family. Set on 170-acres of bucolic farmland, the mansion is completely furnished and houses an extensive collection of official and personal artifacts of the Pennypacker family. Operated by the County of Montgomery, the site is open year-round for guided tours, seasonal events, educational programs, changing exhibits, and special programs.
