This difficult trail located at Leonard Harrison State Park descends one mile to the bottom of Pine Creek Gorge. Please be aware that the canyon is a wilderness area; you must be prepared. Proper footwear is a must - hiking boots are strongly recommended. This trail is not recommended for novice hikers due to steep grades and rugged terrain. Please use extreme caution. NOTE: Help us keep the erosion to a minimum by staying on the trail and not taking shortcuts. Not only will you risk serious injury, but you will trample fragile vegetation. There is no bridge across Pine Creek at the bottom. Location: Go five miles north of I-80, exit 111 on Route 153, then travel two miles on Mud Run Road to park.
