Come out and bike, hike, run or walk along the Union Canal Towpath all year round. Along the trail, which parallels the Tulpehocken Creek and extends from Reber's Bridge to Stonecliffe in the Berks County Parks System, you can see wildlife such as fish, birds, turtles as well as flowers and trees native to this area. You can also visit historic sites along the trail, including a restored lock once used on the Union Canal and a beautiful covered bridge. The Berks County Heritage Center is open for tours of the Gruber Wagon Works and C. Howard Canal Center through October, and Gring's Mill is decorated with Holiday Lights November and December.
