Also known as Happy Valley, State College is the home of the Pennsylvania State University and its beloved football team, the Nittany Lions. The quaint and quirky main street hosts a collection of shops, bakeries, coffeehouses, galleries, and restaurants. The famous University Creamery produces what some say is the best ice cream in the world, and the town's many inns provide comfort and luxury. Nearby state parks and cultural attractions keep visitors occupied after football season has ended.
