In addition to being a "Carnegie Library" this facilty also contains a theater and a museum. The Andrew Carnegie Music Hall is patterned after Carnegie Hall in New York City, and is renowned for its superb acoustics.
The Hall is booked throughout the year with an amazing array of performances. The Music Hall is a true regional asset, attracting world class performers, quality community performance groups and diverse audiences.
The Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall is also home to a true national treasure: the Capt. Thomas Espy Post No. 153 of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). The Espy Post is one of a half dozen most intact GAR posts in the country.
Not only does it house invaluable artifacts, but the room itself provides a unique historical record of the first part of the century.
