Pennsylvania Military Museum

BOALSBURG, PA

One of 26 museums and historic sites on the Pennsylvania Trail of History and administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, this museum depicts the military history of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, emphasizing the 20th century roles of Pennsylvania based units and of Pennsylvanians who have served in all branches of the armed services. Recently rebuilt, new exhibits depict the collection of arms and vehicles and telling the stories of the men and women who used them. In honor of their service during World War I and II, the grounds are home to the 28th Division Shrine, created by the 28th Division veterans. An attractive walking path, with some large artifacts and memorials to Pennsylvania's military heritage, is located in front of the shrine.
