Drake Well Museum

The first time I came to Drake Well Museum a buck crossed the road in front of me and an eagle flew overhead in the sunny sky. Oil Creek and the site were beautiful! Historic oil field machinery sang and people were friendly.

When I was little my family would go to the Altoona area every summer.
I enjoyed going down to Altoona, because I love the trains.
It is beautiful down there, especially in the fall time.
I get Mountain Dew icees, eveytime I was down there.
I loved going to Horseshoe Cuvre, it's a great place to watch trains.
I've meet a lot of people from across the country at Horseshoe Curve.
If you enjoy trains, & want to go to the "Railroad Captiol Of The World" go to Altoona.

Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad
Submitted By: Bill Hillgrove
Trains have always fascinated me. As a youngster, I remember traveling by train to several destinations. So it's always nice to board a real live train and remember how it once was to get from city to city. The Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad is a nice, scenic trip that allows passengers to drink in some of the wonders of "Penn's Woods," where the world's first oil boom created vast fortunes.

Check out our famous ski resorts with plenty of fun activities for the cold weather warrior.
