Pennsylvania boasts some of the best agricultural land in the world, and do we ever love to celebrate it! County fairs abound in the Commonwealth. From maize mazes to carnival rides, livestock exhibits to folk dances, there's an activity that will get you in touch with your inner farmer.
Even if you're a confirmed urbanite, there's at least one thing about the country you won't be able to resist – the food! Homemade pie, funnel cake, apple butter, and other traditional favorites show off the prodigious cooking skills of Pennsylvanians, and the plentiful produce will remind you that you're fortunate to live near an agricultural wonderland.
County fairs are also fun for shopaholics, who can browse and buy patchwork quilts, handcrafted birdhouses, and other folk art. Kids – and fun-loving sorts of all ages – go nuts for demolition derbies, tractor pulls, and animals galore. Find out more by searching for county fairs with our search tool on the right.

It's Fair Week!!!

I remember the Crawford County Fair and how everyone always goes all out for a week of fun and enjoyment.
Just going to the fair for a suasage sandwich and a funnel cake and candied apple would be enough. No it's not!!
The animals, the crafts and produce the kids raise and make is incredible.
The stars that play at the fair is also enough to bring the house down.
One year the rock show was Styx and REO Speedwagon.
This year Brad Paisley promises to to be a big draw for the fair.
Big City Folks Find Fun in Small Town PA

My aunt and I are both from Philadelphia, and wanted a few days break from the hustle and bustle of the city. We stayed at the Victorian Charm Inn, where we learned about the Sullivan County Fair, which had a lumberjack competition and a chainsaw carving competition, as well as a plethora of arts and crafts, homemade goods, and great food. We had so much fun!

I grew up in Lebanon County, and we always looked forward to the fair. But the Bologna Fest is even better.
