Cook Forest State Park Cook Forest's stand of old growth white pine and hemlock timber, called the Forest Cathedral, is a National Natural Landmark. This is one of the largest stands of old growth timber in the Commonwealth. One of the best ways to see and enjoy the priceless beauty of Cook Forest is to hike the 30-mile trail network. You can also find ice skating, 20 miles of snowmobile trails, cross country skiing, and rustic cabins. Many state parks have varying levels of handicapped accessible facilities.
