Route: 30, Chester County
The rolling hills and open vistas of Chester County are the lovely backdrop to this bypass, just four miles north of West Chester. Enjoy the scenic grandeur of the Brandywine Valley as you explore the towns and attractions near this stretch of the historic Lincoln Highway.
If you're a shopper (or roadtripping with one), take the QVC Studio Tour. Peek behind the scenes and watch the on-air action from the Observation Deck—50 feet above the 20,000-square-foot broadcast area.
Down the road is the American Helicopter Museum, where more than 35 helicopters are on display, including the only tilt-rotor Osprey V-22 on exhibit in the world. The towns along the bypass are home to several eclectic art and craft galleries, so make sure to pick up a treasure or two to take home.
Wine connoisseur? Be sure to check out and sample the wines at Fox Leap Vineyards, a boutique winery in Newton Square.

Kayaking Western PA
Submitted By: Jeff & Kym Christy
Last year, at the age of 52, my wife and I, and friends started kayaking the streams, rivers and lakes of Western PA. We came across this old dam on Henry Run while kayaking the Clarion River this past Memorial Day weekend. There are numerous remote, scenic areas that can only be explored from the water, not to mention the relaxation experienced floating down a lazy stream. PA has stunning beauty if we just stop and look around.
Best Memorial Day ever

The weekend prior we did Jim Thorpe, PA, the coolest little town in the state. For Memorial Day we went to where it all began: Philly! The Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, our beloved Phillies and, of course, a "Whiz Wit" at Pat's. The next day was the amazing Art Museum, and, oh yeah, shocking my girlfriend at LOVE Park!
National Road

When we head East for vacation, we always take this old road. The scenery is beautiful, and we like seeing the old highway markers. It's a lot less stressful than the big highways.
