Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites Walking Tours: In 1937, the city of Bethlehem, Pa., was deemed “Christmas City.” Experience holiday fun on Historic Bethlehem’s Christmas walking and bus tours that will take you back in time to a simpler place. Enjoy a stroll through charming downtown Bethlehem, complete with carriage rides and an outdoor shopping market, where you’ll find unique stands to do some holiday shopping.

What better place to celebrate the holidays than at the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Holiday Festival and Parade? Located in Indiana County, home of Jimmy Stewart, the parade takes place over six weekends, starting Nov. 18. This new celebration features a parade, music, crafts, marshmallow roasting, hayrides, and more. Bundle up and enjoy a classic American tradition at Painter Pines Christmas Tree Farm in Somerset, beginning Nov. 25. After cutting down your favorite tree, hike back to the lodge to enjoy cookies and cocoa with Santa and his elves. Plus, the little ones will receive a special gift from the elves — a personalized ornament to cherish!

Visit during Nativity Weekend to marvel at more than 250 nativities from around the world in the Creche Room. On Dec. 9 and 10, listen to the great-great-grandson of Charles Dickens as he performs a reading of the classic "A Christmas Carol."
