This day highlights many of the traditional trade skills and heritage crafts of our forefathers. Folks will be able to see the demonstrators at work and even try crafts out for themselves. With a whole day dedicated to crafts there will be plenty of time to learn about the techniques involved as well as some of the history behind them. There will be demonstrations such as basket making, spinning, weaving, egg etching, wheat weaving, blacksmithing and pottery. Everyone enjoys this true hands-on event so plan to spend as much of the day as you can and learn about historic folk crafts. You may be a future demonstrator “in the making”!
