Forest County is the perfect place to get away from the crowd with the over half-million acre Allegheny National Forest and Cook Forest State Park to explore. Each Spring & Fall ATV riders flock to Marienville for Tour-De-Forest, to ride on ANF roads and trails that are not usually open to ATV traffic. The town is rider friendly and provides guests with easy access to ATV, snowmobile, and equestrian trails. Nearby Buzzard Swamp offers spectacular bird watching. The Tionesta Market Village is a collection of local merchants offering a variety of handmade treasurers. The Allegheny River and Tionesta Lake are very popular with boaters, paddlers, and fishermen. July is the thrilling 3-night outdoor Allegheny Mountain Championship Rodeo and August is Tionesta's Indian Festival. During fall the woodland are ablaze with bright colors.
