Lacawac is a Sanctuary located in Wayne county that provides hiking, staying at or historic lodge, and education about our preserved lake. We also host weekly events during the summer to educate the public about water quality, wildlife, and nature. Lacawac is also features a historic lodge. Guests are allowed to stay at the lodge at any time during the year. The staple of Lacawac is the preserved lake. The lake is mainly preserved for scientists, but the general public is occasionally allowed on for special events.
