The Amish Farmlands Tour offers visitors the opportunity to both learn about Amish culture, observing the Amish at work and play. Certified guides take 14 guests in shuttle-type vehicles down back country roads through some of the most spectacular farmland in the world. Depending on the day, guests might see horses plowing fields, corn being harvested, or silos being filled. One-room schools and "cottage industries" dot the landscape. Guides impart knowledge about everything from weddings to education. Since the Discovery Channel's AMISH MAFIA series began, visitors have had many questions about the reality of the show, and this is also addressed on tour, as the fact and fiction of Amish culture is explored. Except Sunday, at least one stop is made at an Amish property, which might be a quilt or craft shop, roadside stand, bake shop, or similar Amish business. Everyone also receives an autographed Amish cookbook. Tours 7 days a week at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm (no 4pm tour Sunday).
