Kuntu has produced more than 180 plays by playwrights such as Gregory Allen, James Baldwin, Kathleen Collins, Lorraine Hansberry, and Rob Penny. Many of these productions explore black culture from historical, spiritual, political perspectives. Leading the way in Pittsburgh, Kuntu brings the artistic work of socially conscious Africana playwrights to the community.
