Learn about the devastation major storms, like Tropical Storm Ida in 2021, can have on the trail and historic structures like the Delaware Canal. Cyclists of all ages and abilities will participate in self-supported rides on routes that feature Erie’s vast terrain – along sandy beaches and through old growth forests, across our vibrant downtown and our expansive grape-growing region.

Asbury Woods is thrilled to be carrying forward the ride tradition of Tour de West County! One of the area’s oldest and largest rides, we’ll be sure to provide a mix of routes that utilize portions of the original rides while mixing in new sights, roads, and challenges that are suited for our start and end location at the Nature Center. Tour de West County offers choices of 12, 25, or 50-mile ride routes. and will feature a post-ride picnic for registered cyclists.

See the Lehigh River Gorge by Train and Bike! You and your bike will take a train ride on the Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad for 25 miles from Jim Thorpe to White Haven. You'll then ride your bike along the D&L Trail back to Jim Thorpe.

Arrive on Friday, November 1st, spend two nights at the Inn at Jim Thorpe, and experience 57 miles of riding on D&L trail. On your first day, you’ll ride 36 miles on the Full Monty section of the trail. On day two, you’ll ride for 21 miles on the newly completed Lehigh Gap section of the trail. Includes 2 nights of lodging, 2 breakfasts, free parking & shuttles.
